- 1 Tablespoon Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Chicken Broth
- 1 cup Beef Broth
- 1 Beef Bouillon Cube (or 1 tsp Better than Bouillon)
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 2–3 drops Kitchen Bouquet browning and seasoning sauce (optional)
- ¼ cup cold water + 3 tablespoons Corn Starch
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, diced onion, minced garlic, egg, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix until just combined.
- Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs (about 20-24).
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs on all sides in batches; set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté sliced onions until soft. Add chicken broth, beef broth, bouillon cube, onion powder, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce; stir well.
- Thicken gravy by whisking together cold water and cornstarch; add to gravy while stirring until thickened.
- Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer in gravy for 10-15 minutes.
